Dry clothes faster (and cheaper!)

The great thing about saving energy is that it saves you money! (Cha-Ching)

img_1741One of my favourite dryer tips is to put one or two clean, dry towels in with your wet clothes. It helps to absorb some of the excess moisture and dries the clothes faster. This is also a great way to repurpose an old towel.

If you really want to save money, you can skip the dryer altogether and hang your clothes. However, living in coastal BC, this isn’t always an option when your humidity indoors is 60%, hence the dryer tip.

Lately, I’ve been adding a few drops of Lavender essential oil to the towel towards the end of the cycle to make my clothes smell great too!
